Marmion operates from the Cheyne Walk Club in Cheyne Walk and whilst the club building is not licensed for weddings to be held on the premises it is conveniently located in central Northampton close to many of the local churches and the Registry Office. Plus it has ample parking for guests.

This makes it an ideal choice for your wedding breakfast and reception. There is also an enclosed garden where photographs can be taken. The club facilities include a dining room that can easily hold 75 people plus a self-contained cocktail bar. Full staff can be provided to meet your needs together with all table dressing, floral arrangements and print services if required.

If you already have a venue for your wedding and/or reception but do not have a caterer for your event Marmion will be very happy to quote you for an 'outside' event. Once again Marmion can supply everything you need - from plates and linen through to glasses and cutlery etc.

Marmion is able to cater for a full range of corporate requirements, using the facilities of the Cheyne Walk Club. Whether a simple breakfast meeting, a business luncheon or full silver-service dinner. With a choice of two dining rooms, the smaller Wilson Room or the main dining room (capacity of 75) Marmion can satisfy the most demanding client needs.

The Wilson Room can also be made available for working lunches, providing an ideal meeting room that can be transformed very quickly. A number of local business clients hold regular client lunches in the Wilson Room where the size and decor are conducive to treating ‘special clients’ to a ‘special lunch’.

For business luncheons at your own offices Marmion offers a complete mobile catering service. Depending upon your needs and numbers, Marmion will provide absolutely everything you require from a full buffet spread to a complete silver-service luncheon with table service.

Plus, if you don’t have a venue of your own you could probably book the Cheyne Walk Club main dining room (complete with self-contained bar) which has its own dance floor and area for a disco or band to set up and provide your entertainment. It is possible to accommodate up to 80 people in party buffet format.

Immediately after the funeral, the family sometimes invites their friends and family to join them for food and a reception to further, in less formal surroundings, the celebration of the departed’s life.

This gives everyone a chance to talk and provides some time to relax and refresh. Often the numbers prohibit doing this comfortably in your home and sometimes the sheer thought of preparing and clearing-up afterwards proves too daunting a task.
